About Kira (on trial)
This is KIRA a gentle and affectionate young dog with a lovely temperament. Kira is calm and well behaved and very social. She loves meeting people and is very happy sharing a home with 3 other dogs.
Kira has just arrived into care from a rural pound. She is learning her basic commands, she will sit and stay and come when you call. She is also toilet trained. Kira has the kelpie smarts, she learns quickly. She isn't a high energy dog; whilst she loves engaging with people and other dogs, she is very happy to lie on the floor and snooze away the day. Kira travels well in a car, just sleeping on the back seat.
We are not certain of Kira's breeding; we were told that she is part kelpie and we believe that she also has some Staffy in the mix. She certainly has the Staffy smile. Kira has a light frame, weighs 16kg and has a lovely soft white coat with some blue black spots. Whatever her breeding Kira is a gorgeous young dog who will make a lovely family companion.
As she is a gentle dog we believe it would be fine for Kira to be rehomed with children. She would also be very happy to have a doggie companion in her new home. Kira met a cat at the vet's and was non reactive, just not interested.
If you can offer Kira a loving home with a family who will continue her training and socialisation and allow her to live as an inside/outside dog sharing in the family's life, she would love to hear from you.
Our dogs are given a two week trial period with new families.
