Haru

Look at this striking girl!

Haru is a very unique looking individual and has a great personality to match. She is a very sweet girl who enjoys attention from people, especially if that involves pats and tummy rubs! Haru enjoys cuddle time and will happily snuggle with you on the lounge if it’s not too hot. She also has a bright and playful side as well. Haru enjoys playing with people and toys, such as tugs or ropes. One thing you will notice about Haru is that she loves water! She loves the shell pool which she splashes around in on hot days and will even use the water bowl if she has too.

During her time in care, Haru has met a whole range of other dogs. She is a social puppy who is confident and enjoys playing with doggy friends. Haru has good manners with older dogs and enjoys a wrestle with the other puppies her size but prefers it if the big dogs don’t get too rough with her. She is likely to end up a relatively active dog and will require daily exercise and stimulation when she gets older so that she remains healthy and happy throughout her life.

Haru has begun basic training which includes walking on a lead and sitting for a yummy treat. She is food motivated, smart and responsive to her carer. It is very important that her new family are committed to continuing her training so that she can reach her full potential. Haru is crate trained and progressing well with her toilet training. She will usually use a puppy pad in the house or hold on until she is taken outdoors.

We are looking for a home where Haru will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities or outings. She will require another doggy companion at home to help her confirdence and if you are home more often than not, that would be great too. Although she enjoys playing outside, Haru should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a comfy bed inside out of the weather to sleep on at night. At this stage she has not been tested with other types of pets but with the appropriate training and supervision she should be able to live harmoniously with other pets.
