Youko

How cute is this little girl?!

Meet Youko! This adorable puppy is very friendly and loves meeting other people and dogs. She is affectionate with people and enjoys getting pats. Youko loves to explore anything outside of the house and she particularly likes the beach where she has mastered the doggy paddle already! She enjoys playtime and interacting with people or other dogs.

During her time in care, Youko has been very well socialised with a range of dogs. Her foster carer runs a dog boarding and doggy day care business so she has met lots of new friends and has learnt how to interact with all different types of dogs appropriately and playfully. Youko may be small at the moment and oh so cute but she does love a good wrestle game with her doggy friends. She would thrive in a home where he was taken to the dog park or beach regularly for her to socialise and meet up with playmates for a good time. Youko will grow into a large dog so she will require daily exercise throughout her life to keep her healthy and happy.

Youko is currently learning basic training. She does best with short training sessions and with yummy treats as she is not a gobble guts with food and won’t over eat. Youko is very good off leash and already has beautiful recall. It is very important that her new family are committed to continuing her training so that she can reach her full potential. She can be a little timid in new and scary situations but her confidence is building each day and it would be great for her new family to continue exposing her to the world so that her confidence continues to incrase. Youko is progressing well with her toilet training and usually takes herself out the doggy door when she needs to go to the toilet.

We are looking for a home where Youko will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. She will require a doggy companion and/or someone home more often than not so that she gets the attention that she deserves. Although Youko does love the outdoors, she should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a comfy bed inside to sleep on.
