Looking for an adventure partner? Meet Aelius!

Aelius is a cute little bundle of energy who draws in attention wherever he goes. He is quite an independent and confident pup who loves the outdoors. Aelius has learnt to love trips to the beach and has already mastered doggy paddling. He listens really well to his carer and enjoys interacting with people, but his true love is other dogs. Aelius’ goal in life may just be to meet as many dogs as he can!

During his time in care Aelius has been very well socialised with a range of dogs. His foster carer runs a dog boarding and doggy day care business so he has met lots of new friends and has learnt how to interact with all different types of dogs appropriately and playfully. Aelius would thrive in a home where he was taken to the dog park or beach regularly for him to socialise and meet up with playmates for a good time. He has lots of energy and will grow into a large dog so he will require daily exercise throughout his life to keep him healthy and happy.

Aelius is currently learning basic training while in foster care. Teaching him has been a breeze as he is very food motivated and therefore, very willing to please anyone with a treat for him. Aelius is doing very well with his off lead recall at the beach and will follow his foster carer around and always come running back as fast as he can when he is called. It is very important that his new family are committed to continuing his training so that he can reach his potential to be a perfect doggy companion. Aelius is progressing with his toilet training and is learning to take himself out the doggy door and onto the grass, but he is only young and this will need to be continued in his new home.

We are looking for a home where Aelius will be considered part of the family and where he will be included in the everyday activities and outings. He will need another doggy companion and/or someone who is home most of the time to provide him with the companionship he enjoys. Aelius should be allowed inside to spend time with the family and get lots of love, and he will require a comfy bed inside out of the weather to sleep on.
