About Sophie ~ Terrier x (On Trial 29/1/17)
Sophie is an approximately 1 year old Terrier X. Coming from the pound her exact age is unknown, but looking at her teeth and her temperament she is a baby. She is about 4kg and will not get any bigger.
Look at those adorable eyes, they will melt your heart, but she is very cheeky although very lovable.
Little Sophie can spring herself up on to the kitchen bench when she wants to, therefore she can jump quiet high fences, so her new home must have secure fencing.
Sophie is living with 4 other little fluffies and she loves to play all day long if they would. They do get a little upset with her when they are done but she does not care, so she would love a companion but only if they are easy going and like to play. She is good on a lead and must be exercised everyday as she has lots of energy to burn.
She loves cuddles and human company she will give you kisses all day if you are happy to cuddle her. But being so young she likes to chew clothes, shoes, leads, anything lying around, this will just need to be worked with. Sophie loves all children and is very gentle and loving. She is totally an inside dog , uses the doggy door and is housetrained ( most of the time), she will let you know when she hears a strange noise and is a little bit of a watch do.
I absolutely love this little whirlwind and I know whoever adopts this little scruffy girl will have a loving companion for life. She does not shed and loves her bath, she is a tough little girl not much scares her, but she needs to be with a family that is willing to work with her puppy chewing habits and spend lots of time with her.
Sophie is in care in Valentine Lake Macquarie text or phone 0404 874 136 or email Carolyn@tradeserv.com.au for information on this adorable munchkin.
Sophie's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
