About Cody ~ Maltese x Shih Tzu, (on trial 30/04/17)
Hello I'm Cody! I'm a 9 years old Maltese X Shih Tzu boy and I am looking for some loving and fun times in my senior years. If you're looking for a family dog then here I am!
I have come from a good home, but their daughters are all grown up now, so they think I would be better where I could get a lot of attention. They are right. I need a home where I am living and sleeping inside with my family, happily sleeping in my own bed or, better still, sharing yours.
I love walks, drives in the car, playing on the beach or just playing with toys and to spend my evenings with you inside relaxing and watching tv. I’m good with kids and enjoy being next to them while they play. I am fully housetrained and use a doggy door.
I do not like being by myself, so the company of a furry friend is absolutely essential as well as a human that is home a lot or who can let me come along when they go out – I absolutely love going for drives! I am not sure whether I get along with cats or pocket pets.
I’m a beautiful boy and to stay that way I will need regular grooming & bathing for my lush coat.
Don't let my age fool you, I may be 9 years old, but I am very active and looking for love. Take a chance with me - you won't regret it!
If you're interested in me please contact Celia on 0487 867 884 or email celia4dogrescue@yahoo.com. I am located in the Newcastle area, NSW and I am available for adoption interstate.
Cody's adoption fee is $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Healthy boy.
Cody came into care with teeth, eye & ear issues - these have been treated and will need ongoing monitoring.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
