About Mya ~ German Shepherd x Cattle (adopted 12/17)
Hi, my name is Mya and I am a 2 year old German Shepherd x Cattle Dog girl. I am very friendly, energetic and inquisitive. I love to socialise and love water, the beach and parks!
I love having a big back yard with lots of toys to play with. I like playing tug with my friends. I also very happy just laying around chewing or playing with a toy. I absolutely love playing in water and have greatly enjoyed chasing and wrestling with my foster sister in the yard. I am a fantastic jumper and I will need a very secure yard to keep me safe.
I am very proud of the obedience skills I have learnt such as sit and down and I am going great with my lead training. I am used to coming inside and laying down of an evening and love being part of the family. I need a loving home who will continue my training and make me feel loved.
While I love kids, I can be a bit too energetic and excited so I would be best suited to older kids. I need a family who has the time to exercise me regularly, and perhaps has another dog to play with as I get lonely if I am left on my own for long periods. I am not suited for a home with cats, birds or chickens.
I have a lot of love to give, and need the perfect family to share my love with. I am such an affectionate dog and can't wait to find my forever home!
For more information or to meet Mya, please contact Donna on 0466 099 426 or email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Mya is in foster care in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Mya's adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
