About Lola
Snuggle Scope: Has given cuddles however quite often too busy playing in her cat tunnel and chasing the other cats

ABOUT
'Miss' Lola has everyone wrapped around her little paws! From our dog, to our other kitties and most importantly, her human foster family. Lola has converted friends who weren't even cat lovers and stolen their hearts as well. Everyone absolutely loves Lola!
Lola is more than happy to entertain herself by running through her tunnel, to belting balls around the house and as her grand finale will shimmy up the cat pole to sneakily tap any of the bigger cats sitting at the top, running off before they realise who did it!
At the moment Lola refuses offers of her foster mums bed and prefers to sleep on the cool floor tiles. I would say she would prefer the bed in the cooler months.
Because of Lolas skin demititis she would need to be an indoor kitty only in a flea and stress free home. Her new family would need to consider her diet and have the confidence to bath her when needed.

Lola has a condition which has been diagnosed as Miliary Dermatitis, this can be described as 'feline eczema’. This may be an ongoing condition for Lola.
Feline miliary dermatitis is not really a specific disease itself but a set of symptoms which can be caused by a vast number of diseases.
The causes include:
• Allergies, e.g., food allergies, atopy - such as allergies to pollens, and flea allergies (even just one flea bight can set her off her condition)
• Bacterial infections
• Fungal infections
• Yeast infections
• Parasitic infections of the skin, e.g., mites, lice
• Hypersensitivity to intestinal parasites
• Autoimmune diseases
• Nutritional disorders e.g., biotin or fatty acid deficiencies
• Hormonal abnormalities
• Unknown causes
Feline miliary dermatitis is easily manageable at not too much expense, especially if the cause can be eliminated. Long term management with Ovarid 2.5mg to 5mg tablet once weekly is reasonably inexpensive. Costs will vary from clinic to clinic.
In Lola’s case the lesions have mainly been around the neck area. The lesions do not inhibit Lola’s behaviour other than her being itchy when the condition appears. We are careful with her food – feeding her only steamed chicken, Royal Canin Kitten biscuits, Lola is also bathed weekly when these lesions appear.
Miliary dermatitis is not a contagious disease so there is no danger to other contact animals.
Adoption details
All cats and kittens require a meet and greet in person and have their adoption application approved .
All cats and kittens will be desexed , mirco-chipped , vaccinated prior to leaving care plus treated for fleas and worms.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
