About Winston ~ Terrier x (on trial 2/02/17)
Winston is a Terrier X , he could be Norfolk, possibly Yorkshire with maybe a bit of Maltese or Australian. Vets have estimated Winston's age to be between 2 and 3 years old.
Winston is a lonely heart, looking for someone needing some sunshine in their life. He will be there for you no matter what and love you unconditionally. In return this darling boy would love you to love him, talk to him , play gently with him, take on walks & share your life with him.
Winston has put on weight since coming into care, he is now 4.9kg, but could do with a little bit more. Winston has a long body & long legs, with a gorgeous heart.
Winston needs a home where he is living & sleeping inside with his family, happily sleeping in his own bed or sharing yours. Winston is fully house trained & uses our doggy door.
Winston is a bit of a mountain goat, jumping up on the back of the lounge to laze & watch life happening around him. He also likes to take shortcuts, jumping over my high backed lounge from behind, instead of walking around, so a good height fence is a must. Winston has made no attempt to jump my pool style fencing, but best to be sure.
Being tiny, he is not suited to a young family, but is great with school aged children. Winston hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets. Winston is very calm so with good introductions he probably would be fine.
Winstons coat is fine and regular cutting probably won't be required but he will need occasional trimming around the face when bathed.
Winston is great on the lead and with other dogs.
Are you looking for some sunshine in your life? Winston could be the beam of light for you.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
