About Lucy ~ Staffy x (on Trial 1/3/17)
Lucy is a 7 month old Staffy X girl, she absolutely loves attention and cuddles!
Lucy is a very healthy girl, full of energy and runs like a bullet. She doesnt tend to run away, she just wants to follow you around all day! Lucy has been well socialised with all dogs (small and large) and plays gently with small dogs. Lucy has no issues with large dogs either although she may be a little scared of them at first.
Lucy LOVES people and is very excited to meet new people, she may play a little rough will little kids but listens quickly when told to be more gentle.
She doesn't bark or dig, already very well behaved but because of Lucy's age she will require lots of attention and training, she will also need lots of toys to keep her from chewing what she shouldn't.
Lucy would be perfect as an only dog or with older, big dogs to teach her. Lucy is a beautiful, intelligent, affectionate, willing young little dog.
Lucy walks extremely well on the lead on the left-hand side of the handler. She halts at the curb and heels as the handler moves off with left leg leading. Lucy has learnt the command "leave it". Lucy will sit, drop and stay. Because she still young and is being trained, she still needs to be rewarded with food treats when completing the tasks. Lucy travels extremely well in the car. Lucy has been fine with four cats in the house.
Lucy will need a family who can spend lots of time with her and are willing to be patient when training her. Lucy will need lots of space to run around, and nice high fences as i assume she will be a good jumper when she learns how. She will need LOTS of love as she deserves it. Lucy would never hurt anyone and would be suitable for any family.
If you are interested in Lucy, please contact Lydia on 0423 442 865 or email lydia.king@lendlease.com. Lucy is in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Lucy's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
