About Barron
Barron
Hi there, I'm Barron and I'm on a mission to find my furever home!
Although life hasn't always been fantastic for me, now that I'm in foster care I'm loving life and everything in it! I love people, dogs, toys, and food. Food. I love food. Any food.
I love to eat and get so excited about it I take hardly any time at all. I'm fact, my foster carer is trying to slow me down with a slow bowl just so I can pace myself, but I still eat quite quickly. I also love to eat frozen treats out of a Kong, which slows me down a little and makes me work for my food.
But don't worry, though my pace is fast, I am still a gentleman like a baron or any dog royalty should be when it comes to food. Not only will I sit for it, but I will let you take my food away at any time during the meal without any aggression whatsoever.
Not only do I love food, but I love to run as well. Well, I have all this energy after eating so much and I've got to burn it off somehow! I love to run as much as the next dog (actually probably more than the next dog) so in my new home a big yard would be great so I can have room to stretch my legs. Regular walks are also a priority for me so I can exercise and spend time with you. It's a great way to bond and get rid of excess energy.
However I don't spend all of me time outside. I love to come on in and spend time with you during the day and I have to say, I make a great companion. I settle down well inside and don't cause trouble. Therefore, in my new home, inside access is a must because I love company and couldn't bear it if I wasn't allowed to come in and be with you.
I have put had that much training as yet, but so far I will sit for food and come to a whistle and the word. I do jump up but I respect that when you turn away it means 'no' and I will settle. With continued work in this area, I'm sure I will learn to contain my excitement and improve my obedience. I might even learn some more tricks!
If I sound like the dog for you, get I touch so I can meet you and we can get to know each other better. I know I'd love to meet you.
Bye for now,
Barron
