About Odie ~ Staffy x boy (on trial 21/01/17)
Odie is a 6 month old Staffy X boy. He is a loyal, loving little man who is happiest when he can curl up in someone’s lap. His favorite things in the world are long walks on the beach, sunbaking, food and most of all cuddles. He isn’t fussy about who he gets to cuddle, adults, children and other dogs all do the trick.
Odie is very motivated by food and so is easy to train, in the short time he has been in foster care he has already learnt to sit, drop, wait for food and he has excellent recall. He is currently working on his house training and walking on the lead and will need to continue with this in his new home.
Odie still has plenty of puppy energy to burn and although he is perfectly happy relaxing in the sun he also loves playing fetch and tug o’ war with his foster brother. He loves going for walks and is learning to walk alongside without pulling.
Odie is mostly a calm, polite boy and has been supervised around children as young as three with no problems. He has also had lots of experience with other dogs of all sizes and gets along with everyone, even cats! He hasn’t been tested with chickens, rabbits or other very small animals.
Odie is a very family orientated puppy and would be best suited to a family that could spend lots of time with him or who have another dog to keep him company.
He is currently sleeping outside but he loves his inside time and would be more than happy to sleep inside.
Odie is a gentle, loving boy and deserves a family who can love him just as much back.
For more information or to meet Odie, please contact his foster carer Tess on 0401 784 026 or email tess-222@hotmail.com. Odie is in foster care in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Odie's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
