About Lucy
Have you ever wanted a mastiff but worry about the size being too large for you? Well if you love mastiffs, and think Lucy is absolutely adorable; her size may be very appealing as she is only 10 months old and 27-28 kilos and expect to be in the mid 30 kilo range when fully grown.
Hi, my name is Lucy and I am a quiet natured and calm girl who is only quite small for my breed (only 25 kilos at 9.5 months old). I am a purebred italian mastiff female who was surrendered into care at 8 months old. But this hasn't stopped me loving life.
My foster home is pretty grand, I live in a pack of dogs ranging in ages from 8 months to 11 years old and we are all different sizes and genders and we all run together and get along. I have also met other dogs outside of my foster home including small dogs and was fine and social with everyone.
At night or when my foster parents aren't home, I either get to spend my time in a crate indoors with a comfortable bed and a little treat or I run around the acreage with all the other dogs in care; foster and personal dogs.
There are also 5 little fluffy things in the house as well, they call them cats and I am very friendly and loving to them so a household with these would be definitely suitable for me.
I am great on leash and have excellent recall, I am also working on my off leash skills as well and seem to be showing how smart I am. I have shown that I love being indoors, I have good crate training and toilet training skills and would suit a home where this continues as well.
I am a lower energy girl so I could definitely suit a more indoors life, maybe a town house or apartment. I'm not too fussy. My foster parents would recommend 5ft or over fencing for me, to keep me safe but they would also accept rural fencing as well as I have been exposed to this as well.
I have met some kids before, and unfortunately they tend to be a little bit too much for me so a home with teenagers or no kids would suit me best. I am located in the hunter valley region near a town called Gresford NSW and my adoption fee is $500 which will include my up to date vaccinations, microchip, regular flea/ tick worming and heartwarming treatment, life time registration and desexing as well of course.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
