I've been adopted!
About Saskia
I know that some people concerned with etiquette say a lady should be modest, but honestly I’m a little bit tired of the idea. It hasn’t seemed to have done all that much for me in the 467 days I have been waiting for a forever family. My new plan is just being honest about who I am; if that happens to mean flaunting all my amazing qualities then so be it, because I’m spectacular!
I’m a super clever pooch (probably actually the smartest in the galaxy if I had to guess), so whilst your neighbours are celebrating the fact they’ve taught their dog to sit, I’ll give you a solid high-five to celebrate life. We can give each other a cheeky wink in silent acknowledgment of our neighbourhood domination ;)
At 9 years old I’m in the prime of my life. I still love to play, run around and explore! Of course I also love a good sleep-in and a few naps during the day, but that’s not an ageing thing – it’s just leading a balanced life. I mean really, all you need to do is look at me, I don’t look a day over fabulous!
As all other glamorous women know, looking stunning on a constant basis does take some work, so regular grooming is important to maintain my gorgeous coat and ensure I don’t have any bad hair days (we all know it’s hard to feel your best when you’re looking scruffy after all).
It would be ideal if I was the only animal in my new home, at least for a little while so I can lap up all your attention and impress you with my tricks without anyone else stealing my spotlight. In time, once I’ve had more doggy socialisation, I could be happy sharing you with another friendly dog. So we can chat about the addition of another family member down the track once I’ve settled into my new digs. It would also be great if my new home had humans who weren’t super small, I’m a sizeable lass myself after all!
It’s almost new year, so I’ve been wishing on all the stars I can see that I’ll have a forever home in 2017. My life has been pretty rough up until now, but all I need to turn it around is a second chance, and surely everyone deserves at least that?
We love Saskya, and her forever home is well overdue. Please get in touch if you want to adopt this cheeky girl :)
(Saskya, 9 years old, she has spent 467 days at RSPCA Burwood East and is now in temporary foster care until a loving permanent family comes her way)
