About Sheba ~ 7yo German Shepherd girl
Sheba is a stunning 7 year old German Shepherd girl. She is sweet, gentle, very well-mannered and great with kids.
Sheba's favourite thing in this world, apart from her people, is her football - it is her comfort toy and she proudly takes it everywhere and loves a good game of fetch with it too. Sheba is house-trained and is a good girl inside. She has some basic obedience training and she is not a barker.
Sheba would be best suited to an active retired person or couple or someone who is home a lot of the time and are happy to have her inside with the family. She would be happy to relax quietly with her family for the majority of the day with a game of fetch and a walk each day to keep her stimulated.
While Sheba is great with kids, she will need a home with no other pets. Sheba is also terrified of thunderstorms so she needs a secure yard with good fencing (eg. 6ft colourbond) to keep her safe and a caring family who will allow her inside.
Once you take Sheba into your heart then you will not find a more loyal and beautiful girl.
For more information or to meet Sheba, please contact Ashlea on 0481 201 485 or email pooks83@hotmail.com. Sheba is in foster care in the Maitland area, NSW (near Newcastle) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Sheba's adoption fee is $300 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
