Together let's wish big this Christmas!
Your gift today will bring joy to homeless pets by giving them the best chance possible to find families to love them - a Christmas wish that really can come true!
Iris's personality has blossomed since she came into our care. While she isn't a smoochy cat, she is quite loving and obviously happy to be with you.
She often follows her caregivers around the house and seems to have their daily routine figured out quite well. One of her favorite activities is escorting them to where she believes they should be, given the time of day. Of course, there is always time for a pit-stop into the kitchen for a treat.
She loves to sleep at the foot of the bed, during the night.
Iris is a self-contained and proper kitty who is very happy in your company or by herself. A graceful lady; she’s the perfect cat for a person who wants a beautiful companion that demands little attention and will not climb all over them. She loves being decorative and looking gorgeous all over the house.
Iris is a stunning, medium haired, tri-coloured calico cat.
She is highly food motivated and thus, can be trained to give kisses, sit, and do other tricks in return for goodies. She adores cheese!
Iris gets along well with other cats. Iris has no problem with dogs and will generally ignore them.
We do not recommend Iris to families with small children, due to her lack of playful energy.
We Do recommend her as a second pet, as she is so agreeable.
Iris has had full vet work including desexing, vaccinations and microchipping, she is ready to be adopted right now!
Iris had a beauty spot on her nose which on vet check turned out to be a fungal infection. She will require 2-3 months of antibiotics and about 6 months of herbal therapy. Regular checks of her nose will be needed to ensure the area doesn't rebound.
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a house check and fill out an adoption contract.
We work with a network of independent and co-operative foster carers. This means that adoption fees may vary.
Deposits are accepted to hold cats & kittens before adoption - this deposit is not refundable (instalment payments can be arranged with the coordinator to pre-approved adopters).
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only unless stated otherwise on the ad.
Adoptions can be done with a two week foster to adopt arrangement for adult cats only.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to add a furry member to your family.
Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
