About Griselda the gorgeous cat!
Griselda the young mu was abandoned by her humans and left to fend for herself on the streets at a very young age. Our vet says this young mum has had at least two litters of kittens, the second she had in a waste paper recycling dumpster of a workplace in Broadmeadows. We rescued her and her litter of 3 week old from that scary situation and she was so happy to be safe she gave the trapper many head butts and kisses to say thank you!
Since then Griselda has made herself at home in her foster carers house, nursing not only her own kittens but a sick orphan that came in to our group on the same day. When the carers other mum cat got sick, Griselda also took on her kittens... sometimes we couldn't see her under the pile of baby cats!
Griselda must've been very loved once, she's very tolerant and can be picked up, cuddled like a baby and and her paws and tummy touched. Her beautiful fur was so matted and damaged it had to be cut out and she was left with huge bald patches, she was accidentally cut during the removal of the matts and dreadlocks, she didn't lash out at the person who hurt her, she just cried and moved away.
After a couple of months in care with lots of good food and daily brushing, Griselda's stunning tabby/tortoiseshell fur is growing back, her kittens are growing up and getting adopted and she's gone from a skeletal 1.5kg to a health glossy 3kg.
Gorgeous Griselda is a friendly cat looking for a loving home with people who'll look after her, enjoy her company and brush her regularly. Griselda is dog tolerant, child tolerant and absolutely adores people. The only thing she really doesn't like is male cats, probably because of her experiences on the streets - she has all the tomcats at the foster carers house terrified of her! She doesn't actually hurt them she just makes so much noise and fluffs up in such a scary way they all run in fear!
If you're looking for a companion cat with a great personality and good looks, Griselda is the girl for you!
Medical notes
Griselda is now in great health and has been wormed, flea treated, desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. She will need one more vaccination and then it’s yearly after that. Griselda is ready to love her family for next couple of decades
