About Terra French Bulldog
š¾ Terra has gone on an adoption trial. Paws crossed it is forever š¾
Terra is a pint-sized French lady looking for a new home where she will be spoiled as the only pet. Terra recently celebrated her 6th birthday, and comes from a loving home who have had to make a difficult decision to rehome Terra for her own happiness.
Terra will be shy at first but once she gets to know you she would love to sit on your lap and be with you all the time. Terra is a loving girl who loves to be the centre of attention. She enjoys a bath, walks fantastically on the lead, is house-trained and travels well in the car. Terra doesn't like being left alone so her new home will need to be someone retired or who works from home. Terra happily sleeps most of the day and when you're not in the same room as Terra she likes the TV left on. Terra knows the basics such as 'sit', and once you have taken her out to toilet before bed will hop on her bed on command and sleep there all night.
Terra is an inside dog and can't be left outside, she will happily use a doggy door to take herself out as needed. A house with aircon is preferable for hot days. And Terra isn't the kind of dog who jumps up or chews on anything in the house so if you're keen to skip the puppy phase Terra could be the French bulldog for you. Terra likes eating her breakfast and dinner each day but won't hassle you for your food.
Whilst Terra will spend most of her time inside it's important you have a secure yard as she will chase other animals such as birds, lizard and snakes. Sadly her sister was killed by a snake a few years ago so need to be careful at her new home that this isn't something Terra is exposed to. Terra hasn't lived with a cat before but expect with her high prey drive this would not be a good idea.
Since Terra's sister was killed by a snake she hasn't been the same again around other dogs. She is very insecure around other dogs and will react by trying to dominate them. It is for this reason that we are looking for a home where Terra will be spoiled as the only pet, and whose owner will be happy walking her on lead and hanging out at home.
We're recommending that any kids at Terra's new home are aged 12+.
And it's preferable that you have experience with the breed.
Terra is currently living in Gosford on the NSW Central Coast. A new family who live within a couple of hours drive is preferable so that a meet & greet and adoption trial can be easliy faciliated.
For serious applicants, Terra's full history can be discussed with her current owner. And an adoption fee (price available on application) will be charged in order to enlist the services of an expert behaviourist to help rehabilitate Terra around other dogs and ensure she settles well into her new home.

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for Terra. Please don't take it personally if we choose another person to meet or adopt Terra. We will be looking for the best possible match for Terra.
A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
The first 2 weeks of Terra's adoption will be a trial period to ensure that its a good match. And once everyone is happy the Terra's microchip will be changed across to her new family.
We are anticipating receiving a lot of applications. We are only a small team of volunteers and will do our best to get back to everyone as quickly as we can. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
