About Samson ~ Lab X Retriever puppy (On Trial 28/12/16)
Introducing Samson! - an 11 week old male Lab X Retriever puppy. Samson is a bit shy but once he comes out of his shell and gets to know you he loves to give you heaps of kisses and cuddles.
Samson would love to go to a home that has another doggy friend or to a family that has a stay at home person so he doesn't get bored being on his own.
Samson is an outside puppy with his brother and his foster carer’s other big dogs but they are under cover with a big kennel. If you would like Samson to be an inside dog, I am sure he would love that.
Samson is a big puppy and doesn't know his strength so if you have little children he might knock them over. A family with older children that can help you teach him with puppy training would be ideal. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Samson will need to go to a home with a good size secure yard so he can run around and play ball with you. Your fences should be high enough so he doesn't want to try and jump over to go for a wander.
Samson's brother Nixon is also available for adoption.
As Samson is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
If you know you can give Samson a great family home, please contact his carer Krystina via email: kworlinsmith@gmail.com. Samson is in foster care at Tingira Heights (Newcastle area).
Samson's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Happy and healthy puppy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
