Here’s Jackson! If you are looking for an energetic, loving dog who has loads of personality and affection to share, Jackson’s your man! He is a happy boy who LOVES to smooch and will be your constant companion.
Jackson is a 12-month old Heeler/Staffy cross who typifies the loyalty and cuddliness of these breeds. He loves to go for walks and behaves himself well on lead. He is a delight in the car – especially if you like dog kisses.
At home he sleeps in his bed or on the floor – he hasn’t been allowed on the furniture and he is happy to obey the rules, He is well behaved and hasn't chewed anything he isn't supposed to, He is still learning what toys are for so will need someone to show him how much fun they can be.
He is in foster care in a home with two Jack Russells and he is fine with them (they are 8-year old girls and are not in love with his youthful exuberance, but he is still happy and playful, Jackson sleeps through the night without a sound he is mostly house trained with only a few mishaps in his new environment, he is very smart and will learn quickly once shown what to do.
As a young pup there is plenty of room to continue training Jackson – he knows “sit” and we are working on “out” and “bed”. He is smart and will train up well. He hasn’t been tested with cats, but he is fine with dogs, when introduced properly. He will be fine with children, as long as they can handle him being jumpy and bouncy until he learns his manners as He is still a pup and with more training will settle down.
He LOVES his food and given half a chance will eat all the food so he will need to be fed separately from any other dogs to start with.
Jackson is looking for a home / family who are on acreage, able to walk him, train him and most importantly play with him and CUDDLE him.
This dog is a joy and he is looking forward to meeting his forever person/people soon.
