Hi Prospective Furever Family - my name is Jabari or Jay as foster mummy calls me.
Foster mummy describes me as super intelligent and I need a family who can keep up with me. That’s right – I’m a typical ridgeback who will show you my stubborn nature and test you otherwise. After playtime, I love nothing more then chilling out with my foster family. Loyalty is my specialty.
My favorite hobby is sneaking into my foster brother’s room half a dozen times through out the day to ‘borrow’ his soft cuddly toys - only to be caught out each and every time and have everyone burst out in laughter. So for now I’m practicing on being invincible. (I’ve seen a magician do it on TV ). I must go to my new home with a doggy bro or sister as I need the company.
I’m fully toilet trained and am on the lookout for an active family with another canine companion.
Oh and did I mention – while I don't have a 'ridge' my parents were still purebred. Ridgeless Ridgebacks are actually healthier then ridges as we don't suffer from a common Ridgie health problem 'Dermoid Sinus' Please don't let this put you off as I am very intelligent and handsome.

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application must be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer. You must bring your dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
3. The animal must not be taken on the day unless prior arranged (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment details will be given, this can take 2-3 days to finalize before the meet & greet so please give time.
4. 10 day trial period commences
5. Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
