About Mika
We currently have a special girl up for adoption. Her name is Mika and she has been with us for a while.
Mika is the spitting image of a healthy cat and despite having had a litter already she is still a young girl, we approximate to be around 1 year old. We would love to see her finally settle down in the home she deserves and live a quiet, healthy happy life with her new family. Mika holds the potential to be integrated into a multicat household, currently befriending one of our clinic cats and has already learnt to co-exist with some of the dogs at the clinic. She's a very human orientated cat with a very sweet and loving personality completed with cutest meow and a loud purr. She loves to run in the cat tunnel and playing with the chaser toys, very much still young at heart so would benefit with both lots of love and cuddles and a little bit of play in her day.
History: She was found on the streets heavily pregnant, skin and bones with terrible diarrhoea, poor coat and sunken eyes from dehydration. We took her in and immediately began medications performing an ultrasound along the way to find 3 tiny healthy heartbeats beating with hers.
Mika was taken into foster care with one of our amazing carers and we raced time to get her fit and healthy for when her kittens came. The kittens arrived and Mika was the best mum we could ask for but 4 weeks after their birth she was hit with yet another blow. Mika got mastitis, a bacterial infection in the milk ducts and was once again recovering from sickness.
Medical notes
All our cats come with their first vaccination, they are wormed and flea treated upon admission and continue until they leave for their new homes. Each cat must complete a full 2 weeks of isolation before applicable for adoption, our animals will also come with a vet health check and microchiping into your name. Mika is the picture of health and ready to find a home of her own.
Adoption details
Please call the Wakeley Vet during opening hours to arrange a meet and greet with our cats. It is not mandatory for you to come in to see them, if you are willing to have a good chat on the phone as you are unable to attend that is fine also. We do not take holds or deposits on our animals unfortunately so if you are interested please don't hesitate to contact us and inquire if they are still available, thank you.
