About Buster - Foxy x Jack Russell (on trial 24/04/17)
Buster is a 7 year old , Jack Russell x Foxie boy with a very cuddly nature. He loves to play, play, play and gets along fabulously with my 7 & 9 year old boys. He gets along with other dogs, but sometimes a dog can make him anxious.
Buster needs to be allowed in the house at all times with access to outside. He is toilet trained, and once he knows confidently where the toilet is, will take himself out to the toilet.
New situations can make Buster anxious so he will need a patient family willing to put time and effort into settling Buster into his new environment. He sleeps in the lounge room in a crate which is left open and filled with his favourite blanket (although I'm sure he wouldn't knock back being allowed to snuggle with you in bed!).
Buster loves to go for a walk and is learning to walk beside you. Whilst walking, other dogs don't bother him at all - he ignores them. He is happy to be out and about with you. He is nervous in the car but will sit there for you as you drive to your destination- he is hoping it's the park!
Buster loves to be where you are. It makes him feel safe. He will need a family environment in which he is rarely on his own.
Buster is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is only available locally for adoption due to his anxiety. For more information or to meet Buster, please contact Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com or on 0410 491 882, leaving a message with a name and contact details.
Buster's adoption fee is $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
