About Lexi ~ 3yo Cattle x Kelpie (on trial 8/9/2017)
Lexi is a beautiful 3 year old cattle dog x kelpie girl. She is kind, obedient and very loyal.
Lexi is always eager to please those that care for her. She loves going for walks, open spaces and especially loves chasing birds. She is also happy to settle down for a nap in a nice cosy place early in the evening.
Lexi is in excellent health and loves being active. She will need exercising and a good run or long walk every day so would be suited to an active family or a rural environment with good secure fencing. She can be trained easily with food rewards. Lexi is an excellent guard dog too.
Lexi is somewhat shy and likes being around her human rather than a lot of people. She would be better suited to a family with confident children over the age of 13. She has been exposed to other dogs and plays really well with most dogs her own size. We are not sure how she would go with cats or pocket pets.
Lexi is a wonderful girl who will be your best friend for life.
For more information or to meet Lexi, please contact Donna on 0466 099 426 or email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Lexi is in foster care in Merewether, NSW (Newcastle area) and is available for adoption interstate.
Lexi's adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
