About Spence *On Trial in His New Home*
*SPENCE IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet Spence, he’s a friendly young English Staffy who puts 110% enthusiasm into everything he does, from greeting his beloved humans to playing in the yard! He’s looking for a fun-loving forever home who will give him the attention he deserves; will it be with you?
Adorable Spence is your typical affectionate, human loving Staffy who would love a home where he wasn’t on his own for long periods of time 5 days per week while his owner is at work. He is house-trained and given that Staffies are happiest inside with their family and they shed little hair, we’d like to see him in an indoor / outdoor lifestyle in his forever home.
You can tell this boy has been truly loved and that time has been put into his training as although he’s excitable he knows not to jump up so rarely does making him great around children, in fact he was living with a 2 year old without any dramas though unfortunately she was highly allergic to him hence the reason for Spence needing a new home.
Spence isn’t toy obsessed but likes the squeaky ones and he can be enticed into a game of tug-o-war. He’s quite good around other dogs though he’d prefer to be the only dog in his forever home as that’s what he’s used to. He isn’t fazed by cats and has been known to squeeze through the neighbour’s cat-door for a visit. Spence absolutely loves water and enjoys a splash in his doggie pool or in his previous life he’d don his doggie-lifejacket for a kneeboard in the river behind his human’s boat!

Loveable Spence knows “sit” and will shake paws/hands. He is smart and seems to figure things out quite quickly especially when they benefit him! He’s not licky or in your face and he rarely barks only doing so for a reason. Spence starts out strong on a lead though does settle and really enjoys getting out and about on a daily walk. The only thing he doesn’t like is thunder and relies on his Thunder Shirt, his human and the occasional dose of calming medication (if it’s known that a bad storm is coming) to help him through – lucky we don’t get too many thunder storms in Mildura!
Secure fencing, bones to chew on and lots of love will make Spence very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
