About Rosie (AV932)
Introducing tiny wee Rosie, a little girl with a big personality and a whole lot of spunk.
Rosie has already been through a couple of homes in her short life, so we would really like her to find a place to call home for the rest of her days!
In her first home, Rosie was treated very roughly by children and wasn't cared for very well at all. After such a rough start, she has learned that the best defence is offence! So with any new people, Rosie's first instinct is to growl and sometimes snap. This means that her new family will need to be willing to see past first impressions and take her home even if she maybe doesn't seem to like them in the beginning! We promise, once she gets to know you she will be attached to you like you wouldn't believe.
Rosie needs a home with no children and preferably one where kids don't regularly visit. She doesn't appreciate loud noises, fast movements, or grabbing hands.
Rosie gets on well with other small dogs and it would be really positive for her to be living in a home with a more social and friendly dog who can be a positive role model for her. She has lived with cats in the past but not for a while so if you have a feline friend, a slow introduction is advised.
Being so tiny, Rosie can squeeze out of just about any gap - she's not known as a houdini but still, your yard needs to be secure with fences all the way to the ground.
Rosie is used to a quiet life. She's a really loving and affectionate and super cute girl with the people she knows, but as mentioned, she is protective and isn't afraid to show her teeth. Because of this, she hasn't been walked or socialised much.
We are hoping to find a home for Rosie with a kind and understanding person who will respect her need for space and time in the beginning, but who is willing to challenge her in order to help her overcome her difficulties. Because she's only small, Rosie's behaviour is over-looked and excused but ideally, we would love to see her learn how to be more sociable and friendly with people she meets. We would love to help Rosie's new family access some positive training with her and help her reach her full potential.
Rosie is utterly adorable and has a beautiful nature. She's had bad experiences at the hands of humans, leaving her somewhat traumatised and all we want for her, is better than what she has had before.

Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
