About Dozer ~10mo cuddly Staffy boy (on trial 13/3/17)
Meet Dozer! Dozer is an energetic, super-friendly and adorable 12 month old American Staffordshire bull terrier with so much love to give.
First and foremost, Dozer just loves human attention and cuddles more than anything.
Dozer came into foster care with minimal training but has proven himself to be a very quick learner so far. He knows 'sit' , 'down', 'shake' and also waits politely for his food. Dozer will need a home with someone willing to take the time to work on training him, including how to walk on a lead nicely.
He has only shown friendliness and frantic happy tail wagging around other dogs. All this guy wants is to play and be loved.
Although he spent the first part of his life in a household with five children, he probably wouldn't be suited to a home with very small children - only because he is quite a solid dog and still young and very energetic!
Dozer would ideally go to a furever home with another dog as long as the other dog has similar (high) energy levels and was not too dominating or aggressive. He is currently in foster care with a 3 year old female staffy, and they have a great time wrestling and playing tug together. Without another dog, his home would need humans who adore and dote on him, and make time for him.
For more information or to meet Dozer, please contact Annette via email annetteoregan@hotmail.com or on 0418 321 663. Dozer is in foster care in Thornton, NSW (25 mins drive from Newcastle CDB) and is available for adoption interstate.
Dozer's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
