About Daisy (Available soon)
Daisy is a beautiful Chihuahua x who was surrendered to CRQ in poor condition. She had severe dental disease, was missing most of her hair and required surgery on her leg. We were very glad she came into our care, as it meant she could have these uncomfortable issues treated.
Daisy is a social girl who gets along really well with her foster carers small dogs. There's also Guinea pigs in the household and Daisy thinks they're very interesting to watch! Her previous owners said she lived with a cat, so she's an all-round socialite who loves people even more than she likes her furry friends.
Daisy is in a foster home with children (over 6 years) and she loves them. Daisy really enjoys a good cuddle and back rub.
She's a great little watch dog and will alert her foster family if someone knocks on the front door - but don't expect much more then a bark as once visitors are inside, she loves everyone she meets.
Daisy walks well on a lead and loves going for rides in the car - in fact every time the car doors open she tries to jump in! She likes to play fetch with the ball, and play with her stuffed toys and squeakies. Daisy would love a family with some children who will play with her and preferably a doggy playmate too as she just loves a good game with the dogs in her foster home.
Before Daisy can be adopted she must recover from her big surgery so we expect she'll be ready to go to her new home in March.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Daisy has extensive hair loss that is being treated whilst in foster care. We look forward to her having a full and beautiful coat again before too long. She also has luxating patellas and will be adopted once she has recovered from surgery.
