About Speedo
From Speedo's mum Sarah:
This is Speedo. He is a loving 6 year old desexed male Jack Russell/whippet cross who needs a new home either permanently or for up to 2 years as I am travelling overseas and regrettably can’t take him with me. I have owned him for the past 3 years after he was brought into the Vet hospital where I worked as a Veterinarian. He had unfortunately developed a skin condition which his owners could not afford to diagnose or treat and instead they dumped him on the side of a busy road as they did not like the way he looked any more. At this stage I decided to adopt him as he had nowhere else to go and the only other option was to be euthanased (which I could not bring myself to do as he had such a spunky personality). The skin condition is now under control but unfortunately it has left him with permanent damage – no hair on his face, lower legs and tip of his tail.
Despite his looks Speedo is a loving little dog who has a zest for life and people, he can be crazy and energetic one minute and then calm and relaxed the next depending on the situation. Speedo loves other dogs – big and small, walks – short or long, other people – young and old, lots of cuddles - he will sit on your lap quietly if allowed, and chewing on bones. He dislikes cats, chickens and baths, however he will jump into the water to chase birds - but be careful as he does not know how to swim and he will sink instead!!
He is the ideal pet for any family, couple or individual (that does not have cats or birds) that can look past his outward appearance and love the happy little dog that he is on the inside as I have for the past 3 years.
If you think you would love to meet him and possibly adopt him or you have further questions about him please contact me – Sarah - on my email – seza_northy@hotmail.com and I will arrange a time to introduce you to him or answer any of your questions.
