About Boof ~ 9mo Border Collie X boy (on trial 16/12/16)
Introducing Boof! - the 9 month old Border Collie X boy who is pretty close to perfection! Boof is a medium to large dog who is very gentle and has a huge amount of love to give.
Boof is great on a lead and loves a swim, a good ball or tug o war game never goes astray either
He loves his 2 and 5 yr old human foster brothers whom he will gently snuggle up to whenever he gets the chance. On the other hand, he will play and run with his 1 year old kelpie foster sister for hours, but knows to leave the elder spaniel alone.
Boof is a very smart boy and is learning quickly - already knowing to sit, come and is almost a pro at shaking hands. Though he still has a little way to go with not stealing everyone else's food, he is very willing to please which will help to speed the training process up.
Boof currently sleeps inside and is very much a family boy. He absolutely loves to be near you and do what you do but is not fussed to be left alone sometimes. He is toilet trained and has learned how to use a doggy door.
Boof would be best suited to a fairly active family with another furry friend to play with.
For more information or to meet Boof, please contact his foster carer Kristi on 0403 081 260 or email belle_km@yahoo.com.au. Boof is in foster care in Lemon Tree Passage, NSW (north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Boof's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
