About Serge (Adoption in progress)
Serge is an endearing boy. For the majority of the day Serge is happy sleeping and chilling out, but for an hour or two each day he's very energetic and likes to run around and play.
Serge is wary when in the company of new people but once he is comfortable in your presence he is playful and friendly.
He sits, drops and has good recall. Serge won't eat until given the command to 'eat' and when he crosses the road he automatically sits first and waits until he hears the command to cross. He's a good boy and quite trainable. Serge is also house trained. He tends to be a reactive barker so his new people will be dedicated to working with him to modify this behaviour.
Serge has shared his previous home with two other dogs, a German Shepherd and a very small French Bulldog. He is good with other dogs, usually unsure at first but quickly warms up to them and wants to play. Serge will playfully assert his dominance once he's comfortable. Whether he's with a big or small dog, he always likes to think he's the boss.
Serge has been introduced to the same cat on several occasions. He approached with careful curiosity, but the cat walked away not allowing a longer interaction.
Serge is an amazing dog. Will he be the one to claim your heart?
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you too as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
