About Max ~ Staffy x Ridgeback (On Trial 25/1/17)
Hi! My name is Max - I go by Maxi, Maximilian, Maximus or Maximo, LOL. I am an 18 month old Staffy x Ridgeback boy.
I am a shortish largish dog; I take after my staffy genes in height but my ridgeback genes in slimness, colour and markings. I love long walks or even a quick walk around the block, I might add I'm not too fond of the postman though.
I am an extremely loyal dog and can be let off the lead and will come back if you ask me to. I love cuddles and investigating cupboards, nooks and crannies. I'm the perfect guard dog as my big ears mean I hear absolutely everything. I'm an expert jumper and can easily scale a 4ft fence. I'm good with big kids. I haven't played with toddlers yet, but I'm sure I would be okay.
I love sleeping outside, but I also like to come inside every now and then for a relax. I'm house trained and I've learned some new tricks at my foster carer’s house and I have the potential to learn more. I hope you will come and meet me. I'm sure we can be best friends.
For more information or to meet Max, please contact his foster carer Ash on 0481 201 485 or email pooks83@hotmail.com. Max is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Max's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
