About Lucy
Beautiful Lucy <3 the girl who is making the most of her second chance at life.
She gets along great with other dogs, kids, cats and is wonderful to be around. She's super sweet, loving and well behaved. She came in emaciated, anaemic and with raw flesh showing on her ears where she had been left with untreated flea and fly bite and scratched them til they were raw. She was put on a chain under a house and left to die there by her owner after they trashed and abandoned their house. Luckily the landlord called us and we were able to help because our lovely supporters helped us financially with the extra expenses of fixing her injuries. The neighbours say she had recently had puppies. The owners chained her, took her babies from her and left her there.
We quickly got to work, killing the fleas and worms and having her vaccinated and chipped. When she had gained weight and health, and her ears were a bit better we had her desexed, and while she was under she also had a deep clean of her ears done as the inside of them was filthy and likely to cause infection. They're squeaky clean now and she has hair growing back over the sores. You would never tell this dog had been neglected! Her foster carers have had so much fun caring for Lucy and have been so great to her. They are miracle workers.
Lucy is such a lovely, sweet little girl. She's house trained and a small-medium size. The perfect indoor and outdoor pet. She definitely loves to come in and be part of the family! She is a loyal, loving and trusting companion. She loves to play with dog toys but is just as happy getting a cuddle or belly rub. She knows how to sit and lay down, and is learning some little tricks too. Lucy is now ready to be adopted.

- Microchipped
- Worm/heartworm/flea treated
- Desexed
- Teeth checked
- House trained
- Registered

Medical notes
I will have no longer term damage from my mistreatment. I am almost back to being completely healthy, and there is no further treatment necessary. I just need to finish growing hair on my ears!

If you are approved, we can meet up in a park or at your home to decide if this is the right pet for you! If you have other dogs they will need to be at the meet.
Adoption comes with a one week trial to make sure we are the perfect fit for each other and there is a contract for you to sign so you know we are all covered. *PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS FOR MORE THAN THREE DAYS and in these cases a non-refundable deposit is required*
