About Aurelia
Sweet Aurelia has had a lifetime of being treated a way that no living creatures deserves but her luck has changed and she needs a new family to love her for the rest of her years.
This stunning girl has been used as a kitten-producing factory by a breeder all her life. She has been kept in a cage and only handled when it was necessary as part of the breeding regime. Her good looks and the pretty babies she produced meant that she was like a machine, with no value of her own. Aurelia has passed the useful age for reproducing so has now been surrendered by her breeder as she has no further use.
It has been heartbreaking to see the way this lovely girl has been treated but we know that now, finally, things are looking up. She has been in foster care for several weeks and is slowly becoming more confident and social. After her years of being caged and not handled, she is extremely timid and nervous. Aurelia barely knows the meaning of affection and sadly is not the confident, talkative, social butterfly that siamese are supposed to be. She is learning to enjoy pats and human contact and is beginning to initiate contact with her carers. She is gaining some much needed weight and her general health has improved.
This sweet girl needs a loving, gentle, understanding family to cherish her. She will take a long time to settle in and continue building confidence and will probably always be a bit of a scaredy cat. Aurelia needs a quiet home with no small children and not too many comings and goings. Another cat would be fine and a dog might be okay as long as it was very calm and respectful of her space. Mostly Aurelia needs a dedicated, compassionate family who will treat her as she deserves, as a unique individual worthy of love on her own merits and not just as a breeding machine. Can you give her all that she needs?
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
