About Diesel ~ blue cattle dog, 5yo (eval. enquiries)
Diesel is a 5yo, blue Australian Cattle Dog. He is a gentle, affectionate and kind natured boy that loves people. He enjoys sitting on his doggie bed near you or following you around.
Diesel is not a nuisance barker. He will bark to warn of intruders and is a little unsure around men he does not know. He has some training and is able to follow basic commands and learns quickly. You'll have no trouble teaching him new things and I'm sure you'll both enjoy it.
Diesel loves going on long walks or runs, and playing with other dogs at the dog park. He would be well suited to living with another playful dog but will need to have a trial as, being a cattle dog, he loves rounding up other dogs up and not all dogs enjoy playing chase. Diesel just wants to play with everyone no matter what! He's fine with small dogs, currently living with a Maltese x (Honey, also available). He is never aggressive and enjoys the company of adults and children alike.
Diesel eats anything, he is never fussy. He is house trained and currently sleeps inside on his doggie bed and would need to sleep inside and be allowed to spend time inside in his forever home.
Diesel enjoys a daily walk or outing and his ideal home would be with active people who have time to spend with him every day or with someone who lives on a property.
For more information or to meet Diesel, please contact his foster carer Breeanna by email to bree.m.jacobs@gmail.com (preferred as I work fulltime) or leave a message on 0413 784 121. Diesel is in foster care in Islington, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Diesel's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
