About Melvyn
Melvyn belonged to a very dear friend called Phillipa, who was a regular supporter of Bast. Phillipa passed away recently, and poor Melvyn has found himself without the person he loves.
He is a very, very precious boy and Andrea feels that she owes it to him and to Phillipa to re-home him only where he's going to be totally adored.
He's a lovely boy, who was living with one other cat. He is currently in foster care with three other cats, and can be ok with them, but he is a bit jealous and doesn't like sharing the attention, and so he really needs to be an only cat. He has been used to a quiet household - preferably indoors, or with restricted outside access as Melv is prey driven, and may hunt local bird life.
Melvyn loves to play. He adores feathered toys, particularly teaser toys and lures, and will need regular interaction. He enjoys sleeping on the bed with you, is good with his toilet habits, and knows his name.
Melvyn loves smooches. He'll roll around, and flop himself next to you. He sometimes throws little somersaults, will climb on top of you and make biscuits, and puts out a paw to remind you to pat him. He is very adorable, and desperately wants a person or two to call his own.
Melvyn is very shy around strangers, but after coming into his foster home, it only took a day for him to warm up to his new carer. If you come to meet Melvyn, you will have to be a bit patient. Melvyn doesn't really like being picked up, but he is getting better. He is happy to have some tummy rubs once he trusts you though.
If you think Melv would fit into your family and would like to meet him, please call Andrea.
Medical notes
Has been Vaccinated against FIV.
