About Cornelius
Dear Cornelius is a stunning fellow who deserves the very best in life but has sadly never had the opportunity to experience it before. This gorgeous boy is a purebred of the finest lineage but all his life he has been simply used, nothing more than a machine to father kittens. Cornelius has been housed in very poor conditions, kept in a cage his entire life and only handled by his breeder when it was time to be introduced to the females. As you can imagine, this is not a life for any animal and it has severely affected Cornelius and his behaviour. Unlike the normal out-going, vivacious, talkative siamese, Cornelius is quiet and withdrawn. It is terribly sad to see how afraid he is, as he spends much of his days hiding.
We are hoping to find someone REALLY special to love this sweet boy. He needs a quiet home without small children or too much noise and activity. He could live with another cat, preferably one who is social and will help him come out of his shell. You need to understand that it will take a long time to undo 4 years of serious emotional neglect, and be in for the long haul with Cornelius. He will hide a lot (all the time if you let him) in the beginning and will need to be coaxed to interact. There will be a lot of work to help show this sweet boy that people can be kind and life can be good but it will be so, so worth it to truly change his life.
If you think you are the super special individual who can save Cornelius, please contact us today.
Medical notes
Cornelius was underweight when he arrived and his teeth were in quite a state. He has undergone a dental scale and polish and is gaining weight with a great appetite. He is otherwise very healthy.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
