About Lucy
Lucy was surrendered by her owner. She came from a multiple animal home (cat and dog) and conditions were as good as her owner could make them.
Lucy is house trained and sleeps happily beside you on the floor at night or in a bed specifically set for her or anyone else. She loves cuddles but has not been around young children very much, although she doesn't have a mean bone in her body.
Lucy is a Moodle which means she is low shedding and she will require regular grooming. Her fur will matt if left unattended so she must be regularly groomed. Lucy walks on a lead happily and is a really sweet older dog.
Presently Lucy has been in care with a foster family and she has been good in all ways, except she does like to dive into the cat litter tray (ew). She has slept quietly with her carer and loves to have someone home with her most times. Her carer is busy and is in and out all day. If left she will either sleep by the front door (waiting) or if left inside will snooze until you arrive home. She's delightful to care for.
Medical notes
Lucy was quite overweight and was put on a diet. The main problem is that she loves to eat everyone else's food, although adorable it's not good for her. Her weight will need to be watched.
Adoption details
Please apply via this site (email) and I will contact you for further details. Your application will require your contact details, state, phone, email and a little precis of your interest and experience with a small dog. It would be appreciated if you could also include photos of your home, where Lucy will reside.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
