About Dixie
Dixie is personality plus! She is not a shy dog and will brazenly sneak into the house as you exit the door. She will eat the cat food, jump on the couch (well try anyway) at every opportunity. She is full of fun and mischief and would best suit an active family or couple. She would be great for children, tolerates other dogs (i.e. annoys them to death to play) and will probably chase the cat! She has boundless energy but still comes to a stop to sleep several times a day. She loves a pat and would be a real lap dog type if she's allowed. Dixie will only be small fully grown (about 4 kgs) and will be ready to leave once she is desexed on December 13th, and she has healed satisfactorily. She probably would not suit a retiree as she has a lot of maturing to do before she would be suited to the quiet life! A great fun puppy.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
