About Ned ED0079
Ned is a most easy going and affectionate young pup who adores cuddles and playing with dogs and humans. He is such a friendly boy and just loves everybody. Ned is a little timid when he first meets a new dog but it doesn’t take him long to gain his confidence and he is then happy to interact. Ned absolutely loves children and gets so excited that he does jump a little but will stop if you tell him to.
Ned is being fostered with a cat and is very friendly towards her so would accept feline company in his new home. Ned is obedient to a degree but is just a cheeky puppy and loves to play and be adorably naughty. When on the leash he does pull a little but is improving in this regard. Ned’s new owners would need to commit to taking him to puppy school to continue his socialisation and reinforce his training. He has learned the commands sit, stay and come as he is very bright and loves relating to people. Ongoing training would be great for Ned as he has so much potential and continuing to socialise him will greatly enhance his confidence.
Ned’s toilet training is going well and he only has the occasional accident if left alone. He is also generally quiet and rarely barks, but he will howl when he plays with his squeaky toy, which is really cute. Ned is not a destructive puppy but because he is a bright boy he may resort to digging or chewing if he becomes bored – he definitely needs to be occupied. Ned does enjoy playing with toys both squeaky and fetch so having these available for him would be essential. Ned’s parentage is part Kelpie – these are intelligent and active dogs so his new owners will need to give him adequate exercise and mental stimulation as he grows.
Ned is sharing his foster home with another puppy and a resident dog and he can tend to guard his food – this is not an aggressive response, he just eats faster so that no one else can take his food; he will also try to steal food from other bowls first if allowed – this is very much puppy behaviour and just needs to be monitored during meal times.
If you are looking for a really fun loving, affectionate and clever little puppy, then Ned could be just perfect for you as, if given the input he deserves, you will eventually be the proud owner of a fun loving, affectionate, loyal and intelligent dog who will be your best friend and companion.
