About Mollie ~ purebred border collie (Trial 30/11/16)
Mollie is a beautiful, 4 year old, purebred border collie. We were told by her previous owners that Mollie is a decedent of the sheepdog from Babe. She is very loving, obedient and intelligent. She is fully house trained and is amazing with people, including children.
Mollie used to be scared and wet herself if men came to the door so we think she was treated unfairly. We have worked through this with her and she is now a confident dog but sometimes still flinches at the ironing board and other household items.
The only issue Mollie has is she really doesn't get on with other dogs. She needs to be kept on lead around other dogs and kept away from them. This hasn’t been a problem and we have worked through most of Mollie's issues with her by just remaining calm and giving her the love and reassurance that she needs. A positive reinforcement trainer can help you to teach Mollie that other dogs are nothing to worry about.
Mollie she would be a perfect match for a mature individual or retired couple who need a companion and have the time and love to give her. She really is an excellent dog in so many ways and has much love to give. We regret that, due to having a second baby on the way, we need to let Mollie go to a home where she can have more attention.
For more information or to meet Mollie, please contact Amy by phone/text 0478 100 904 or email amysevennine@icloud.com. Mollie is in foster care in Broadmeadow, NSW (Newcastle).
Mollie's adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
