About Carly ED0078
Carly’s carers have described her as very sweet and extremely affectionate and loving. Carly is such a friendly girl with both humans and other dogs; she has a quiet side to her nature but once she knows you she is outgoing and confident. Carly loves to play with other dogs, both big and small, and really enjoys their company. Carly is also friendly to children but has not lived with them so could possibly be homed with considerate, gentle children.
Carly is being fostered with a resident cat that she likes but, being a typical puppy, she just can’t stop herself chasing puss at times, but there is no malicious intent – it is just a game.
Carly would benefit from basic training as she does tend to pull on the leash. She is learning the command ‘sit’ and seems to have mastered ‘stay’ and ‘come’. Carly is almost toilet trained and only has the odd accident when she is left alone. Her carers don’t think that she is stressed when left, but if bored is a good climber and will try to escape. Having said that we think that Carly would benefit from having either a doggy friend or a stay at home person in her new home.
Carly really enjoys her mealtimes and will bark to attract your attention just in case you have forgotten that she is ready to eat. She also doesn’t food or resource guard with people or other dogs.
As Carly is a young pup she will require ongoing socialisation with other dogs as she grows. Her energy levels are not excessive but she would need a daily walk with play involved and definitely interaction with her human – her contact with people is very important to her as she is very affectionate and friendly, and has a loving nature. Because of this, she would also need to be an inside dog so that she can spend as much time as possible with her family.
If you are looking for a loving dog to spend your days with, give cuddles to and be your best friend, Carly is going to tick all those boxes and fill that space in your heart and home.
