About Otis D0411
This rather handsome fella is Otis. Otis would like to be your new buddy. He knows obedience such as sit, drop etc, is house trained and loves the opportunity to spend some time indoors with his humans; in fact he thinks he's a bit of a lap dog! Otis gets along with some dogs although prefers small dogs and older relaxed dogs to young excitable, large or dominant males: if confronted by an aggressive dog he will react with a growl/grumble, and can be protective of his meals. He shares a foster home with an old calm dog and gets along great, and would suit a home either as the only dog or with a similar dog to his foster mate. Otis is not cat tested.
Otis is heading into his middle age years and he likes the simple things in life, so would prefer a quiet, calm home without too many comings and goings, with adult family members who are home more often that not. This would suit him down to the ground. He seems to like meeting children out and about although we think that he would prefer a home environment without young children due to the noise and activity level.
Otis still has quite a lot of energy and so will benefit from a good walk every day; he enjoys his outings. He travels well in the car.
Please see below for Otis's medical notes.

Medical notes
Adoption fee includes vet check with flea and worm treatment, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership) and sterilisation. We do not include heartworm testing or treatment.
Otis has been receiving treatment for a 'hot spot' on his throat. He does seem prone to the odd flare up (eg itchy paws). This could be caused by seasonal allergies and in that case Otis will most likely need treatment if/when flare ups occur, which could be allergy shots, medication, regular baths, keeping up with monthly flea treatment, and diet. Please don't hesitate to ask us for more information.
