About Cassius D0628 adopted 3/2/16
Cassius is a rather handsome boy who is also very friendly. Cassius loves tugger and fetch, and is very playful. He takes treats gently and knows sit and shake a paw. Cassius can be selective of which dogs he likes. He is reactive with some dogs and great with others. He is in care with a large female young dog and gets on famously, but can be reactive when meeting some other dogs who he doesn't know, eg when out walking. This needs to be considered when applying for Cassius.
He has met chooks and horses and been fine with them, however he dislikes cats. He loves a good walk and for the most part walks great on lead, however as mentioned he reacts on seeing some other dogs. His carer is working on this with him and is able to give some tips and ideas to help with this issue.
Cassius is house trained and likes his family's company. He would definitely prefer a home where he can come and go in and out as he pines if locked outside too long.
He travels well in the car. Cassius came to us as an American Staffy but we are guessing he may also have some American Bulldog in him...?
If you like your dogs chunky and handsome then this lovely boy may suit you down to the ground. If you would like to enquire about him please send us some details of your home/family/fencing/work hours/other pets/ability to walk a largish dog and commit to ongoing socialisation with other dogs/where he will spend his time and sleep at night/when you are looking to adopt a dog.
He arrived into care with a yeast infection in his ears and has been treated for this.
