About Holly Aussie Bulldog 6YO
Mini's Bulldog Rescue Club are assisting Holly’s family to find her a new home. Holly isn't a rescue, she is coming from a loving home who have had a change of personal circumstances and we are helping them to find the right family to love Holly for the rest of her life.
Holly is a happy healthy 6 year old Aussie Bulldog from Melbourne. Holly looooooves people, going on short walks and currently lives with another dog and a couple of cats. She’s a little on the chubby side and would beenfit from losing some weight in her new home. Holly always gets excited to go walking but she tires out pretty quick. If permitted, Holly would like to sit all her 30kgs in your lap whilst relaxing in front of the TV of an evening. Holly’s your typical affectionate aussie bulldog who loves being cuddled.
Holly’s current family work full-time and with the right daily attention and walks she is fine to be left at home during the day. The other dog Holly lives with is a non-dominant male who is larger than her, but based on our interactions with her we feel she would be happier where she was the only dog in her new home. Holly is not so keen on small dogs, and she will chase one of the cats every now and then (but it’s nothing vicious).
Holly loves food and the animals in her current home have always been fed separately so we would encourage this in her new home to ensure there’s no scuffles over food.
Holly doesn’t feel comfortable around kids and for this reason we are seeking a home that is adults only.
Holly would be best suited to a new owner who is a natural pack leader and can be assertive / firm with her as needed. Holly can be quite powerful on the lead as well - with her 30kg so low to the ground, so we're also looking for someone physically capable of handling her and experience with medium to large breed dogs in preferable.
Holly is a healthy desexed girl up to date with her annual vaccinations, as well as regular worming and flea treatments. It hasn’t been an easy decision for the family who have had her since a puppy to find a new home for Holly and they would prefer Holly to be adopted locally in Victoria.
