Hi, my name’s Shelby, and I’m a very affectionate 3yo girl who can’t wait to be adopted into your family!
I was surrendered because I wasn’t getting on very well with the other dog who lived with me, so it might be best if I was the only dog in my new family… but, if you have a friendly male dog, that might be ok. I'll have to be assessed with a male dog at SRV, and maybe you could bring your male dog to a meet and greet to see how we get along!
I’m a friendly girl who’s very fond of belly rubs and cuddles. I love to play, and will let go of toys when you ask me to. I can be a bit excitable, but I will calm down once you take me to obedience training, which I need to help me to become the best girl I can be. Even though I know how to sit and drop, I need some help to learn to walk nicely on the lead, but this will be quite easy for me to learn, because I’m so pretty and clever!
It would be best if the kids (if any!) in my new home were older, not little ones, because I’m a bit excitable and boisterous, and could knock little ones over, though I wouldn’t mean to. A home where the family’s quite active, so they can take me places, and especially take me to obedience training. It would probably be best too if there were no cats or guinea pigs or anything like that in my new home, because the people at SRV don’t know what I’m like with them.
