Galen

This little pup is full of life!

Galen is a confident, outgoing and playful puppy. He is relatively independent and happy to do his own thing like exploring the yard or playing with toys. However, he still loves to get attention off people.

Galen enjoys cuddles and pats, and playtime with his people. He also really enjoys water, jumping in the baby pool to cool off on hot days or just for the fun of it! Galen is the type of dog who would really enjoy tagging along with the family on outings and adventures.

During his time in care, Galen has been very well socialised. His foster carer runs a dog boarding and day care centre so he meets lots of different dogs all the time and he has great manners with them all. He enjoys the company of other dogs and playing with his doggy friends. He will be a large sized dog and will require daily exercise to ensure that he remains healthy and happy throughout his life.

Galen is a quick and eager learner who is food motivated. He has learnt how to sit and drop (lie down) for yummy treats. He is now learning how to walk on a lead nicely. It is important that his family are committed to continuing his training as he is only young and will have much more in life to learn. Galen is already toilet trained as he has access to a doggy door which he takes himself out through when he needs to go. He also loves his crate and sleeps there throughout the night.

We are looking for a home where Galen will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require another doggy companion and/or someone home all day to ensure that he gets the love and attention that he deserves. Galen should be allowed inside the home to be with the family and will need a warm bed inside to sleep on at night so that he is out of the weather.
