About Rocky ~ 5mo Kelpie X boy (on trial 29/12/16)
Meet lovable Rocky - a sweet 5 month old Kelpie X boy. He will worm his way into your heart in minutes.
Rocky adores children and would snuggle all day with them if given the chance. Apart from being an affectionate licker, he doesn’t have any behavioural issues or aggression towards children.
Playful Rocky is quite submissive around other dogs, but warms to them quite quickly and wants to play. He has not shown aggression to cats however his playful demeanor is not welcomed by them.
Rocky has learnt to sit and stay and is very treat orientated and is eager to please you. He is very alert and intelligent and comes when called. He would love to learn more with his forever family. Rocky is kind natured and responds quickly to voice discipline. His little heart would break if he were to be physically punished (we always recommend treat-based training with positive reinforcement).
Rocky currently enjoyed sleeping inside at night and spends his days sleeping and playing outside. He doesn’t fret when left alone, but is more than happy to see you when you get home. He is not a nuisance barker, but will let you know if there is a car or person on your property.
Because Rocky adores the love and attention of children, he is hoping to find a wonderful family who will cuddle and love him as much as he loves them.
For more information or to meet Rocky, please contact his foster carer Kelly by emailing kellysgroominggarage@hotmail.com.au. Rocky is in foster care in the Wyong area, NSW (south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Rocky's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
