About Ivy
Ivy.
Will be 2 years old in April 2017.
female Greyhound.
Very lovable, friendly and happy.
Ivy is great with other dogs, very playful. Actually, make that EXTREMELY playful! She loves to run and is one of the fastest I have seen in the rescue.
Ivy LOVES people and play time with the children. Gee, she can run fast! You have to see it to believe it. Zoomies around the paddock happens often, though in true greyhound form, it's then followed but a 3 hour nap!
Ivy is great with fences, she does not jump or dig.
Ivy does not bark, well, we have not ever heard it.
Ivy does enjoy her stuffed toys and will come with her favourite Footrot Flats toy that she carries everywhere. Ivy deserves a lovely home, where she is loved, cuddled and allowed inside. She loves to be inside with you and is one of the most affectionate greyhounds I have ever met. Really leans in for a cuddle.
Ivy does not chew her bed, blankets or toys and is fairly easay to get along with.
When Ivy arrived, she thought it would be so much fun to chase the cats, now she happily exists with them, paying no attention to the chickens or cats here. We suggest that if she goes to a home with these animals, that she be muzzled and disciplined to learn not to go near them, but in saying that, she has not shown aggression. Ivy wants to play...with anyone! She is not muzzled around the cats or chickens now and is a fast learner.
When Ivy arrived, she did take the change quite hard and dropped a bit of weight. She is a bit stressed in new situations but it does pass quickly. Lots of love and pats (and food) help her quickly realise she is in no harm.
The first person to meet her will fall in love, I guarantee it.
All vet work complete.

Adoption details
All animals come with a 7 day trial period (this is negotiable depending on case by case differences, and will be discussed accordingly with anyone having queries)
After this time, and knowing that both the family and pet are happy together, the adoption will be finalized.
If an animal is to be returned for whatever reason during this 7 day period, a 10% (of the adoption price) administration fee will be taken out of the refund. Animals returned after this time, unfortunately forfeit the adoption price.
We are mostly located in Greenbank on the outskirts of logan, around 30-45 mins south of Brisbane, although some animals can be in care throughout the greater Brisbane region.
