About Baz ~ 5yo Dachshund X boy (On Trial 5/12/16)
If you are looking for the perfect companion dog then Baz is for you! Baz is a 5 year old Dachshund X boy who is compact, cuddly and affectionate.
Baz loves human company – especially snuggling on your knee. He is great on road trips and can’t wait to have some more adventures. He walks well on harness and lead and does not pull.
Baz prefers adult company so is best with no children under 12 years. Baz can be quite timid when meeting new people but as long as you have a lap for him to sit on he will warm to you very quickly, a treat or two might help speed up the process too. He is currently living with 7 other dogs of all ages and sizes and gets on well with them. However, he does not get along well with cats.
Baz is an inside dog and must have access to inside and sleep inside. He does enjoy a play in the garden and is happy to sit by your side and soak up the sun while you work in the yard.
Baz is a very special foster who has won his carer’s heart from the day he arrived and is searching for his perfect “furever home”.
If you would like to know more about Baz or arrange to meet him, please email his carer Victoria at vdavies93@gmail.com. Baz is in foster care in Kurri Kurri, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Baz's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
